The Town of Ridgefield Police Department is seeking applications for the position of Police Officer to fill three (3) open positions and may establish an eligibility list of candidates. I was just informed that the Westburg golf tournament scheduled for October 3rd has been postponed due to flooding on the Waterbury Country Club golf course. The tournament has been rescheduled for Monday October 10th.
Recent suicides of 4 officers in state lead to conference

NEW BRITAIN — Law enforcement officials want to eliminate the notion that they are too macho to seek help for mental health issues.
Roughly 300 officers and agents attended a conference Wednesday at Central Connecticut State University regarding the prevention of police suicide and the promotion of mental wellness.
